Assembly Technologist

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Assembly Technician to join our team at Lockheed Martin in Merthyr Tydfil. This role is a fixed-term contract lasting 24 months and offers an exciting opportunity to work on vehicle assembly and test.

You will be responsible for working to strict specifications, procedures, schematics, and engineering drawings on projects critical to the Ministry of Defence.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Vehicle Assembly Technician, Armoured Vehicle Technician/Aircraft Assembly Technician, Mechanical Fitter, or similar role.

Key skills include the ability to complete set-ups and perform quality and performance testing, working from written instructions with limited supervision, and using hand tools and measuring equipment with high accuracy.

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum

• Proven experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to liaise with the test support, engineering, and Quality functions.
• A strong attention to detail and ability to self-inspect work to ensure quality defects are mitigated.
