**Client Details**

My client is looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join their tea based in Oldbury. This is the perfect role for someone who likes the end to end Credit Control process and likes to manage their own clients and ledger.

**Description**
- Responsible for collection of sales ledger debt for allocated accounts.
- Preparation of daily banking allocation sheets from remittances and posting of monies to the correct accounts in a timely manner.
- Ensuring queries are logged on the query log resolved and challenged appropriately with both internal and external parties.
- Liaise with Customers, internal departments and third parties to ensure swift resolution of queries.
- Ensuring Customer portals are updated as and when required.
- Sending invoices to Customers, and updating of consolidated invoices in a timely manner
- Opening of new Customer accounts, ensuring correct procedures are followed.
- Timely reporting requirements, both internal and external.
- Reconciling accounts on a monthly basis
- Ensuring timely and accurate allocation of all payments received on designated accounts
- Highlighting areas of improvement and initiating ideas to improve the overall standard and effectiveness of themselves and the credit control department
- Contact clients before balances become due to confirm payments
- Responsible for ensuring that all outstanding balances are collected within the agreed payment terms
- Work closely with the Account Managers and Credit Manager making them aware of any issues with payment and request assistance where needed

**Profile**
- Proven experience of working within a Credit Control function
- Knowledge of how the sales ledger functions and general accounting principles
- Experience in dealing with Customers.
- Strong team player orientation - co-operative and willing to work with others
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills to enable strict deadlines to be met.
- Proven IT skills including MS Word and MS Excel (experience of working with pivot tables and look-ups)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Be motivated and have a flexible attitude to work
