Hotel Receptionist

We are now looking to recruit an exceptional Hotel Receptionist to work up to 22.5 hours between a Friday and Sunday. You will working a combination of the following shifts 7:00am-15:00pm or 14:00pm-22:00pm.

As a hotel receptionist, you will be under the general guidance of the Front Office Manager You will assist with all duties connected to Front Office Department, and ensure every guest has an unforgettable experience.

Lanelay Hall Hotel & Spa is a busy, independent hotel just on the outskirts of Cardiff, South Wales.

We have 19 bedrooms, a busy restaurant & bar, fantastic function Suites & tRiBe Spa.

Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests as they arrive at the hotel.
- Checking guests in and out, issuing keys.
- Preparing any outstanding room accounts and dealing with payments.
- Actively upselling hotel products and services.
- Dealing with all general guest requests and queries.
- Handling all telephone calls in a professional manner.
- Creating bedroom reservations, amendments and cancellations in Guestline Rezlynx PMS reservations system.
- Complete daily arrival check
- Ensure confirmation is received for all reservations
- Conduct all telephone calls in friendly, efficient manner, adhering to the hotel standards.
- Maximise revenue through up-selling and cross-selling all hotels products & services.

Specification:

- Administration and customer service skills.
- Ideally you will have previous experience in a similar post and will have worked with Guestline Rezlynx PMS, but not essential as full training will be provided.
- IT skills.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- A friendly and professional telephone manner.
- A team player.
- The ability to stay calm under pressure and look after several tasks at once.

**Salary**: £10.60 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 22.5 per week
