One of the UK's most exciting technology development companies is looking for a bright and enthusiastic Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. You will be helping to deliver a breath-taking technology that even recently would have been consideredas 'science fiction' but is now set to revolutionize medical procedures for the benefit of millions of patients all around the world. As the Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will be involved in transferring the designs from the development to production,integrating and testing innovative complex electro-mechanical products, helping to establish the manufacturing processes.

**Senior Manufacturing Engineer's Responsibilities**:
Managing and supporting the transfer of novel designs from development to production including pilot processes for new product designs and design changes including:

- Providing DfM, DfA & DfT input to the product design, supply chain & servicing processes
- Generating process design documentation, work instructions and specifications
- Establishing appropriate in-process inspection and measurement methods
- Assisting in the validation of equipment, process and inspection methods
- Monitoring process performance in accordance with regulations, policies, procedures, standards
- Carrying manufacturing process FMEA including the implementation and communication of mitigation actions.

**Senior Manufacturing Engineer requirements**:
An excellent BEng/Meng Degree (1st/2.1) in Mechanical or Production Engineering or similar.

An experience within relevant high technology manufacturing industry.

Great communication skills and a strong work ethic

We're also looking for skills and experience in some or all of the following:
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to guide technicians in root cause investigation and troubleshooting of individual builds

Working in medical devices industry, particularly ISO13485 and/or FDA CFR21 Part 820 in line with Good Manufacturing Practice

Practical design and assembly of complex electro-mechanical products, jigs and tooling

Hands-on experience of mechanical, electronics and software engineering disciplines (such as systems/mechatronics engineering) an advantage

Knowledge of manufacturing processes to influence design choices and ease of manufacture and test

Interpretation of technical drawings and generation of detailed assembly and test protocol documentation

The management of calibration and maintenance of test and measurement equipment

Familiarity with CAD and mechanical design experience in general (SolidWorks preferred)
