The Safeguarding Adult Advisor will work predominately from home.

You will work with the Named Lead Professional for Safeguarding Adults & the safeguarding team to support delivery of safeguarding adults agenda in line with statutory legislative processes. You will promote the adult safeguarding & work together with the wider partnerships.

You will represent the Trust at meetings in relation to the safeguarding adults/MCA & DOLs as well as support the Trust to meet its statutory obligation to participate in safeguarding adult reviews, section 42 enquires & domestic homicide reviews.You will be engaging & communicating information to various Authorities.

There will be an expectation that you would support in the delivery of internal training programmes.

**You must be a Registered Healthcare Professional &possess**:
Recognised teaching/assessing qualification or demonstrate relevant experience

Knowledge relating to the principles of safeguarding adults & legislative frameworks

Ability to report both verbally & in writing, information in relation to safeguarding adults, & provide high quality reports on complex cases.

Ability to use a variety of IT systems.

Support the Safeguarding Adults Lead in the development of local policies to ensure consistency with national directives and local frameworks.

Support the co-ordination of the safeguarding adult services throughout the Trust, raising awareness of essential safeguarding practice through the development and delivery of a robust training programme

Delivery of a high quality safeguarding adults service in an environment of financial constraints

Facilitate a culture and environment which encourages staff members to be effective and proactive in the field of safeguarding adults

Contribute at an interagency level and demonstrate a commitment to the principles outlined in The Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act and its code of Practice, and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards 2005.

Provide specialist advice and support to staff regarding all aspects of Safeguarding Adults
