**FAMILY OUTREACH WORKER**

**(With Additional Responsibilities for Perinatal Mental Health)**

**37.5 hours per week**

**Salary £22,836.97 per annum**

**Based at either Todmorden Children’s Centre or Jubilee Children’s Centre**

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to support families identified at risk of perinatal mental health issues.

The role will include working with children and parents as a part of our community outreach which will include both home visits and facilitating groups.

Perinatal-Mental Health support is delivered as a part of our joint working with health partners and involves working with mothers from about 32 weeks of pregnancy until the end of a baby’s first year.

This post comes with opportunities to complete training in specific areas such as Baby Massage. It will involve close working with health professionals.

You will need:
Ø Some experience of working with children, young people and their families

Ø GCSE or equivalent qualification in Maths and English

Ø An ability to build and maintain relationships with multi-agency colleagues

Ø A non-judgemental, patient and sensitive approach to families under stress

Ø A willingness to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, which will involve weekend / evening work

Ø The ability to work from other Children’s Centres within Upper Valley and Central Calderdale area

Ø A full driving license and the use of a car for work
