The Compensation and Benefit Project Specialist will provide a lead role in managing our upcoming Payroll migration project, working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless transition and user experience.

You will be highly analytical with excellent communication skills, supporting the Compensation & Benefits & HRIS Manager to ensure a timely delivery of the project. Additionally, the role will actively contribute to managing Payroll activities; supporting our population of 16 stores and Head Office team for the UK, Ireland and South Africa region.

This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract, with the possibility for extension or mobility on successful completion.

PROFILE

**HR Systems**:

- Working in collaboration with the Payroll provider to build a new HR system through completing workbooks
- Collate user requirements and ensure the product is fit for purpose, understanding and managing stakeholder expectations
- Responsible for the smooth transition of new HR system and all data migration and information; retrieving data from the current payroll provider
- Work with internal stakeholders on cleaning of data and integration
- Take lead role in managing the UAT phase, escalating any bugs accordingly
- Responsible for interface runs with a hands-on approach, for example, preparing the data, discrepancy analysis; ensuring these are managed smoothly and efficiently
- Responsible for ensuring all current data is provided and logged into the new system
- Prepare all the project and steering committee support materials, taking minutes and driving actions
- Support the C&;B & HRIS Manager in leading workshops with all internal stakeholders

**Benefits**:

- Support in reviewing the UK, Ireland and South Africa benefit offer, ensuring it remains competitive
- Assist in optimising the Benefit portal maximising user uptake
- Support the C&;B & HRIS Manager in liaising with third party Benefit providers including payroll, medical, cycle to work to name a few

**Payroll**:

- Support the C&B & HRIS Manager with payroll for UK, Ireland and South Africa, ensuring to review all data and documents for accuracy and compliance; ensuring payments are made on time
- Provide an exceptional first line support to the population for all payroll related queries
- Inputting payroll data and checking payroll files on a monthly basis
- Prepare and submit all necessary paperwork for tax deductions and benefits
- Conduct regular audits on payroll procedures and records
- Manage payment calendars for the fiscal year with payroll signatories, payroll provider and benefit suppliers
- Proactively propose solutions for further efficiencies and escalate issues accordingly

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

**Skills & Experience Required**
- Previous experience working with transactional Payroll activities either in a Payroll or Compensation and Benefit role with heavy proportion of payroll
- Previous experience in Payroll system migrations (highly beneficial)
- Able to confidently and effectively deal with a high volume, fast paced workload
- Strong attention to detail and a getting it right first-time mentality
- Excellent client service mindset, ensuring to provide the best experience to our employees
- Able to work with ambiguity, independently and as a team; demonstrating a solutions orientated approach to work
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, able to understand data, interpret and draw accurate conclusions
- Excellent communication and ability to relay payroll information in a meaningful way to all stakeholders
- Strong influencing skills with experience of building relationships across the region
- Experience working with HQ/ Zone counterparts to confidently represent the region
- Previous experience of using SuccessFactors desirable
- Degree in a related discipline (Business Management, Human Resources, Finance)
