- Keep up to date with issues across the UK and work with national editors and health editors to identify and develop the best possible content
- Keep editors informed of stories in development

- Develop and maintain contacts in your specialist area and, through them, develop exclusive and original material where possible

**About You**
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of health and inequality issues
- Strong track record of reporting and feature writing
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of Black, Asian and ethnic-minority populations and racial justice issues
- Prior journalistic experience, working in a fast-moving news environment, preferably for a major newspaper or website
- Range of contacts
- Ideally, you'll have a demonstrable ability to bring a diverse perspective to this role

**How to apply**

To apply, please upload your latest CV and a cover letter which outlines why you'd love to take on this role, and why you're a great match for what we're looking for.
