The Senior Finance Academy Officer role is a newly created post. This is such an exciting time to join DMAT and we are looking to recruit an exceptional individual to join our team.
The successful applicant will work closely with the trust Finance Director and will have the opportunity to help shape the role. The job is wide and varied; supporting senior leaders, our schools and trust to spend within cost centres, secure best value, find cost savings/efficiencies and look for opportunities. DMAT is financially strong and there is a great deal of expertise within the team. As well as working closely with the Director of Finance; you will work with the Director of Operations and CEO.

DMAT central team staff offices are based at Durrington High School (DHS), one of the largest secondary schools, a really impressive site. The role is based at DHS and for part of the week you will be based at Burgess Hill where our next school to join DMAT is located. There will be occasions when you will visit our other schools.
To ensure your success within the role you will have a strong background in finance; understanding the need for compliance, accuracy and be able to interpret and provide reports on a wide range of data sets. You will enjoy working in a dynamic environment where no one day is the same. We work as a team and a willingness to ‘muck in’ and do what needs to be done, as well as the ability to manage your own continued development with alignment with DMAT’s values and ethos is key.
