Title: Quality & Environmental Assistant

Reporting to: SHEQ Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with some previous quality assurance experience who is keen to further their career and grow alongside the business. This role combines the completion of administrative duties, with hands-on elements of quality control inspection within a production environment.

**Key Skills, Experience & Attributes**
- Minimum 2 years’ experience or equivalent.
- Experience within the Structural Steel industry.
- Basic understanding of painting, welding, quality management systems and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Familiarity with environmental management systems and regulations (e.g., ISO 14001) would be beneficial but not essential.
- Good understanding and ability to operate Microsoft office software (Word/Excel/Outlook).
- Good communication skills.
- Strong interest in quality assurance, environmental management, and the structural steel fabrication industry.
- Good punctuality, pro-active approach, and good presentation skills.
- Ambition to progress their career to understand new methods of construction within the supply chain of B&K Hybrid Solutions

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Participate in internal audits and inspections to verify adherence to quality and environmental management systems.
- Collaborate with project teams to support the establishment of quality control plans and ensure compliance with established standards.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and records.
- Support the training of employees on quality control processes and procedures.
- Aid in coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure compliance with quality and environmental requirements is met.
- Assist in the investigation and analysis of non-conformance issues and contribute to the development of corrective and preventive actions.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and standards related to quality control and environmental management.
- Support the monitoring and reporting of environmental performance indicators and assist in implementing measures to improve environmental performance.
- Participate in audits and inspections conducted by external parties, such as regulatory agencies or customers.
