We are currently recruiting a Compliance Officer for this well established luxury brand based in Harrogate. This is a local company, which has grown dramatically over the years and now supplies customers worldwide. It has been running for over 10 years now and has seen a dramatic growth. On top of all that following a probationary period you will also get every other Friday off between the months of February and September.

The main purpose of this Compliance Officer role is to ensure that all the organisational and business processes, along with each product, complies with government regulations and standards. You will be an integral part of the business providing essential support, technical administration and advising on regulatory changes within the market. This is a process driven administration role that is varied and fast paced. We therefore require someone with a good work ethic, excellent organisational and time management skills. If you have experience or knowledge of the electronics retail market within the UK and EU that would be a great advantage for this position.

**Responsibilities**:
Manage technical documentation and files for all company products
Maintain up to date knowledge on compliance standards and relevant industry regulations within the market
Build strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers and authoritative bodies
Act as the main point of contact for all compliance related matters
Provide all administration and reporting on product packaging and WEEE compliance responsibilities
Produce product documentation required for both customers and sales channels
Identify any applicable accreditations not yet applied for

**Requirements**:
Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial
A proven background in administration
Strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail
Excellent time management skills, able to prioritise a busy workload
Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
A good work ethic and sense of pride in own work
Knowledge of the electronics retail market within the UK and EU would be beneficial
Previous experience dealing with key authoritative bodies such as OPSS, trading standards, Environment Agency and Customs would be useful

This role would suit someone who has worked as a compliance officer, compliance administrator, document controller or worked in data maintenance or had a technical administration role. You will ideally come from a technical background and have experience in the electronics retail market, although not essential as training can be given. If you have a legal background or have worked in financial compliance and have a good head for detail we woudl consider you.
