Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental Advisor to join our team at Marmion. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout our facility. You will work closely with our operations team to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and to identify and implement opportunities for improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement Safety Programs
    • Design and implement safety training programs for employees
    • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards
    • Develop and implement procedures for reporting and investigating incidents
  • Compliance and Regulatory Affairs
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including OSHA and EPA
    • Develop and implement procedures for managing hazardous materials and waste
    • Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and resolve any issues
  • Environmental Sustainability
    • Develop and implement programs to reduce waste and minimize environmental impact
    • Conduct regular environmental audits and inspections to identify opportunities for improvement
    • Develop and implement procedures for managing environmental permits and licenses
  • Communication and Training
    • Develop and deliver training programs for employees on safety and environmental procedures
    • Communicate safety and environmental information to employees and management
    • Collaborate with employees and management to identify and implement opportunities for improvement

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety, or a related field
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a safety or environmental role
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and laws
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
