Job Summary

Homes for Students is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Compliance Assistant to join our team. As a Compliance Assistant, you will provide administrative support across various areas, including HMO licensing, data protection, and ISO standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process HMO license applications, including determining licensing requirements, providing advice on the application process, and gathering required information from landlords and properties.
  • Establish and maintain effective spreadsheets, databases, and document management systems to ensure efficient management of files and correspondence.
  • Liaise with the Finance Team to pay invoices for HMO licenses and conduct research on Local Authority HMO licensing schemes to identify new scheme launches.
  • Conduct proactive routine audits of properties with confirmed HMO licensing to ensure compliance with licensing requirements and conduct audits of critical PPM certifications and their renewals.
  • Manage the HMO email inbox and assist the Data Compliance Manager with data protection and ISO audits, policy updates, and reporting routines.
Requirements
  • Experience in administration, data protection, and ISO standards.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work to tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications and experience with spreadsheets and databases.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and contribute to team efforts.
