**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Role Summary**

Our vision is to deliver pioneering care through pregnancy, childhood and loss, wherever families need us, whatever the future holds. This role supports our registered manager in the quality of service delivery and compliance, ensuring that high standards are met in the most efficient way across the organisation and that the care team are adhering to CQC regulations.

Main Duties and Key Responsibilities*

Maintain efficient, full and accurate records and reporting systems in accordance with legal requirements, and ensure clinical records are retained in line with agreed retention schedules and aligned to the NHS Digital guidelines.
- Work closely with the care team to ensure that documentation is accurate, detailed and in line with legislative and the organisations policy.
- Carry out investigations relating to the quality of the service and use findings to recommend improvements.
- Ensure we collect and collate service user feedback and that reports are compiled with recommendations to improve service delivery.
- Lead on the delivery of all compliance matters relating to clinical care including CQC and Local Authority / NHS requirements, internal quality audits, safeguarding and complaints.
- Support the safe delivery of the service in line with legislative requirements and the organisations policy and procedures.
- Carry out clinical auditing and reporting compliance at clinical governance committee. Set out action plans to monitor where compliance is not at a desired level and recommend achievable plans to improve this.
- Support service provision compliance with all relevant regulatory processes through the process of internal audit and quality assurance activity.
- Maintain and update the clinical Information Audit tools - ensuring types, categories and locations of data we retain is known and recorded.
- Work with the Information Governance Lead to ensure audits match mandated GDPR and NHS national standards.
- Support the Information Governance Lead with the clinical aspects associated with the annual completion of the NHS DSP Toolkit - ensuring submitted evidence is accurate, and representative of current practice.
- Work closely with the IT & Data Analyst to consider and build IT-based interventions that support wider quality and compliance objectives.
- Work with the Registered Manager and CQC ensuring that our care is safe, responsive and reflects our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policy.
- Ensure care policies and procedures are up to date and ensure any changes to policy are communicated to the care management team through People HR and a regular focus on policies in practice.
- Be part of the incident management committee and review care related incident reports on a regular basis and share learning and best practice across the care team.
- With the clinical educator, review staff training to ensure adherence to relevant guidance, legislation and regulations.
- Support the organisation to meet CQC fundamental standards (for example in Safeguarding and Infection Prevention and Control).
