**About The Role**:
PEI Group is seeking a talented Content Editor for its print and digital titles focusing on private equity and other alternative asset classes, such as real estate, infrastructure and private debt. This is a junior role working across 16 B2B brands aimed at senior financial professionals. The role is New York-based, with the possibility of hybrid or remote working.

Reporting to the Senior Production Editor, the successful Content Editor will have an eye for detail, flair for finessing copy and strong headline-writing/SEO skills. You could be editing a web story on agriculture one minute and helping a magazine designer lay out a feature on European real estate the next.

An interest in business journalism is key, as is the ability to handle competing priorities. Your colleagues will be based around the world, so you’ll also need to be flexible, as well as meticulously organized.

**Responsibilities**:

- Copy edit news articles, features and analysis for web and print on private markets developments and trends, adhering to a high standard of accuracy and style
- Proofread print pages
- Demonstrate high level of organization and self-motivation to meet multiple deadlines and balance competing priorities

**About You**:

Essential Experience:

- Journalism experience working in a deadline-driven environment
- Copy editing and proofreading experience
- Experience working on a print title
- Experience working in a digital news (preferably in tandem with print)
- Experience working with charts and data

Essential Knowledge / Skills:

- Strong organizational skills and working knowledge of standard journalism practices and techniques, including copyright and libel law
- Meticulous attention to detail, grammar, syntax, spelling, punctuation and tone
- A working knowledge of both US and UK English grammar and spelling
- Knowledge of back-end CMS (such as WordPress)
- Familiarity with data visualization packages (such as Infogram)
- Familiarity with Adobe InDesign
- Familiarity with audio editing (Adobe Premiere) a plus
