Web Content Editor

6-9 months - possible extension

£28.65 per hour Umbrella or PAYE £21.69 per hour.

Hybrid - 2 days in the office

Our public sector client is seeking a web content editor with
- Strong experience in writing, editing and publishing digital content
- Experience in using content management systems and content production processes to publish content
- Excellent stakeholder management skills - ability to understand needs, work collaboratively and explain content decisions.

**Purpose of role**:

- Ensure that adequate procedures, standards, tools and resources are in place for quality control of material developed by content authors across the client to ensure that content has a strong customer focus.
- To make recommendations on how the client websites can deliver tangible outcomes in support of the client overall aims, priorities, services and corporate values.
- To engage effectively with individual services to help them identify and refine their requirements for their department's web content to ensure continuous improvement.
- To use expertise to manage, plan, write and oversee the production of high-quality, effective corporate web content.

**Key accountabilities**:

- Manage, maintain, edit and write, update high quality web content that is accurate, creative, uses plain English and follows guidelines set out in the agreed content management strategy.
- Take a lead role in overseeing a forward plan to update web content and ensure a programme of regular reviews are undertaken to ensure accuracy, usability and usefulness.
- To be the client's web content management expert, providing advice and direction to the client's web content authors and others on best practice and guidelines set out in the content management strategy.
- To develop, set and monitor via the CMS appropriate parameters and permissions for web content authors in a devolved content management and publishing model and ensure appropriate quality control.
- Take a lead role in providing training and advice on technical aspects of the client's content management system.
