Casenote Library Clerical Officer

We are looking for a Casenote Clerical Officer who can help deliver an efficient, high quality health records management service and outpatient reception desk service. This role is essential in providing safe patient care by ensuring that patient’s health records are available when required.

Another said “This role is varied and I get out and about around the trust providing health records when they needed, contributing to patient care”
The Casenote Library Clerical Officer works within the Casenote Library Team across two sites. The team provides a casenote library and archive service to the acute clinical services of the Trust. This involves filing paper health records in numerical order, removing paper health records which need to be archived and reviewing paper health records which have met their minimum retention period and retrieving paper health records from archive.
The team also covers the main outpatient reception desk. This involves marking patients as arrived and directing them to the correct waiting area and updating patient demographic details when required.
This role provides a great insight into the NHS and requires excellent inter-personal skills when communicating with patients and members of staff at all levels within the Trust.
