**About Us**

Community Housing and Therapy (CHT) is a small, flexible organisation offering unique residential treatment to some of the most vulnerable members of society; our Psychologically Informed Mental Health Rehabilitation Communities are co-produced by residents and staff working together. These are open, democratic spaces creating the living and thinking space for adults and young people suffering severe and enduring mental health difficulties to develop new relationships, to learn more about themselves, and to rebuild their lives. Our residents expect a lot from our staff and our clinical standards are high, making CHT, a challenging and creative place to work.

CHT’s network of supported living communities and semi-independent flats aim to provide enabling environments where residents are supported to develop relationships with a strong community focus through the therapeutic programme. This is an exciting time to join us as we continue to develop our therapeutic programme and grow our team to create a mobile, dynamic, outward looking community, re-defining and re-thinking the role of the supported living setting in adult mental health recovery.

**About the Role**

We are recruiting for a Supported Living Therapeutic Practitioner to join our team. Supported Living Therapeutic Practitioners link our residents to the group and to the wider community. They build relationships, maintain the thinking around the boundaries of the supported living setting and they support our residents to achieve the goals of their recovery. They help to maintain the therapeutic culture by facilitating a range of therapeutic groups and individual activities. Supported Living Therapeutic Practitioners hold in mind the individual and their barriers to participation, enabling our residents to do more with each other and for themselves. The role will be primarily be based across two of communities, with some travel to other sites as needed. Please note this role involves some lone working.

**About You**

In this role you will learn to think creatively and dynamically about yourself and about your relationship to the work. You will be flexible in your thinking and open in your approach. We co-produce our services and so you must want to listen to our residents and be able to hear what they are saying on lots of different levels. In supported living we work with people who often need support learning the skills of everyday living. You will be sensitive to those needs and find a way of supporting people that encourages growth and development. You will build an enabling relationship with residents and provide psychologically informed practical and emotional support.

Teamwork and communication are key aspects for your role. You will need to be diligent with your time keeping skills and express your thoughts around residents and the community with the rest of the team. You will work collaboratively with other team members to develop psychological thinking aimed towards recovery.

You will have a minimum of one years experience in a related setting and/or can demonstrate a strong foundation of therapeutic relational practice.

**The offer**

If you are interested in building a career in mental health, CHT gives you the opportunity to develop yourself in a unique community setting working with a great team and an incredible group of residents.

Supported Living Therapeutic Practitioners receive extensive training on CHT’s model and are enrolled in the organisation’s Level 7 accredited Diploma in Relational practice.
