We are recruiting for a Head of Strategic Initiatives and Governance to join us.

This is a newly created role reporting directly to our CEO, the post holder will lead our organisation’s strategic transformation activities and ensure timely risk management, including identifying risks, seeking decisions and/or recommending actions, to ensure that outcomes are achieved.

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

- Oversee the development of an integrated strategic plan and associated metrics of success, always ensuring an effective balance between attention to people, processes and tech.
- Ensure data reporting across the organisation is meaningful, maintained, accurate and up to date to facilitate informed decisions, reporting and communications.
- Drive continuous improvement in processes and systems to enhance management information.
- Provide both strategic leadership and operational management to the Realisation team, promoting best practice and continuous learning.
- Develop and implement policies and practices to improve delivery of outcomes, where metrics show there is a need.
- Lead, advise and monitor organisational policies, protocols and guidelines, quality improvement initiatives, risk management and accreditation cycles and processes.
- Develop and leverage a change management methodology, process and tools that support innovation and foster a culture of creative thinking and solutions focus.
- Provide both strategic leadership and operational management to the Realisation team, promoting best practice and continuous learning.
- Develop and implement policies and practices to improve delivery of outcomes, where metrics show there is a need.
- Embed effective governance for management information, data security, systems integrity, risk management and business continuity planning.
- Demonstrate strong business partnering skills to ensure buy-in from colleagues for plans.
- Work cross-functionally to include a comprehensive range of perspectives in plans being developed to deliver Right There goals.
- Provide expert and insightful support, & challenge when required, to the Leadership Team and wider management to strengthen the quality of decision making in delivering strategic goals.

We’re looking for you to be degree qualified in a relevant discipline or to have equivalent relevant experience. We’re looking for someone with Senior Management experience with a focus on collaboration and engagement, as well as significant change management experience, ideally from more than one sector/organisation.

You’ll also be able to show evidence of having developed solutions to successfully execute strategic initiatives.

**What you can expect from us**

We value our staff as our greatest asset and will provide the following working conditions:

- The post holder will report to the CEO
- Your normal working hours are an average of 35 per week. These hours are usually worked Monday to Friday, and flexibly between the hours of 8.00am to 6.00pm, with core hours over the period from 10am to 4pm with one-hour unpaid. Variations to these hours must be agreed with your line manager.
- Your usual place of work will be 15 Dava Street, Glasgow, G51 2JA.
- Annual leave entitlement of 210 hours holiday (equivalent to 6 weeks) pro rata per year in the first year rising to 280 hours (equivalent to 8 weeks) pro rata per year in the second. This includes public holidays.
- You will be automatically enrolled into the People’s Pension in the month that you will complete 3-months of employment, provided you meet the auto-enrolment criteria.
