**6 month Fixed Term Contract (with the potential to go perm)**

I am working with a fabulous educational firm in Tynemouth who is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team.

Working Monday to Friday you will report directly to the Finance Manager.

**Your main responsibilities will include but not be limited to;**

**Purchasing, to include, but not limited to**:

- Supplying costings and researching prices
- Liaising with staff and suppliers to obtain best value
- Processing purchase requests, setting up Purchase Order Numbers and processing orders for goods/services for the school
- Receiving and checking delivered orders, and arranging internal delivery to school locations with the facilities team
- Ensuring the delivery notes are filed with the final purchase invoice

**Management of the Purchase Ledger, to include, but not limited to**:

- Managing incoming Purchase Invoices - printing, ensuring authorisation process complete, accurate inputting to ledger and filing
- Managing incoming Staff Expense Forms - printing, ensuring authorisation process complete, accurate inputting to ledger and filing
- Checking invoice details for accuracy, and matching final invoices to initial Purchase Order
- Reconciling Purchase Ledger accounts to monthly supplier statements

**Management of the Sales Ledger, to include, but not limited to**:

- Raising Sales Invoices for letting, and any other miscellaneous income
- Providing administrative support for the letting programme

**Banking**:

- Assisting with the management of the school bank account, including daily posting of bank transactions into our accounting system, and weekly bank reconciliations
- Reconciliation and posting of receipts/refunds from the Parent-School cashless payment system
- Providing daily sales receipt updates to our Business Manager
- Assisting with the petty cash reconciliation and the physical banking of cash

**General**:

- Managing the Finance Department’s dedicated mailbox and ensuring that all enquiries are dealt with efficiently and effectively
- To provide financial reports as may be required by authorised staff
- To keep the inventory updated on relevant systems
- To assist at parent/student evenings, as required
- To ensure that all enquiries are dealt with efficiently and effectively
- Any other duties as may be reasonably required by the Finance Manager or Principal.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Flexitime
- Monday to Friday

Work Location: One location
