**Graduate Finance Assistant**

**About the role**

We're seeking an enthusiastic Finance Assistant to become a valuable part of our established and growing finance team.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Reconciliation of company bank accounts
- Preparing bank payments for approval - including supplier invoices, payroll and business expenses Daily invoice processing
- Weekly sales reconciliation
- Commercial analysis of pricing and sales trends
- Assistance with quarterly VAT returns
- General ledger duties
- Credit Control
- Project work as directed
- Other ad-hoc financial analysis and administration duties
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field
- Genuine desire to forge a career in finance
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel.
- Confidence learning new software platforms.
- A positive, proactive and dynamic attitude.
- Efficiencies driven mindset.
- Adaptable and flexible in approach.
- Excellent time management, planning, and organisational skills are essential for effectively handling and prioritising tasks within a varied workload.

**Salary and benefits**

£23,500 - £25,000 per annum

**Place of work**
- This role is based at our office on the Tyne Tunnel Trading Estate in North Shields.
- Hybrid, up to 1 day per week from home.

**Working hours**

Full time, 37.5 hours per week
- 8.30 a.m. - 5.00 p.m. Monday - Thursday
- 8.30 a.m. - 2.00 p.m. on Fridays
