As a Barclays Consumer Protection Oversight Specialist, you will be helping the team provide oversight of Barclays identification and mitigation of Consumer Protection risk. In particular, you will assist in Compliance through ideation and delivery, of a data led approach to oversight which will include the identification and assessment of key regulatory change initiatives, or external events which may impact the management of Consumer Protection risk across Barclays.

**What will you be doing?**
- Supporting the Compliance Frameworks and Policy team to maintain the standards, and control requirements for managing thematic Customer Protection risk
- Assisting with the identification of regulatory change and external events aligned to Consumer Protection
- Helping in the implementation of regulatory changes or other business activity (be it remediation, product development etc) related to Consumer Protection
- Assisting with the thematic risk assessments across the group relating to Customer Protection
- Using data to provide insights into businesses adherence to Customer Protection control requirements
- Assisting in the BOC oversight through Risk Assessment processes such as One Risk Assessment (OneRA)
- Assisting with the identification and raising of any issues aligned to the Customer Protection Policies and Standards

**What we’re looking for**:

- Knowledge and competence of financial services and ability to demonstrate thought leadership
- Experience of working and presenting to stakeholders
- Experience in partnering, influencing and collaboration with stakeholders and peers

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience in overseeing regulatory change
- Professional qualifications, certifications and/or registrations relevant to Compliance
