Pricing Manager

Bristol area (2 days per week in office)

Up to £70,000 per annum

Join the newly appointed Head of Pricing's team to help continue driving improvements in the pricing team, with a focus on driving profitability and mitigating risk, while reshaping the landscape of consumer pricing through strategic insight and technical excellence.

As a Pricing Manager you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the pricing strategy and ensuring technical pricing excellence across the entire consumer base. With considerable exposure and the opportunity to make a significant impact, you'll influence and constructively challenge senior leadership to drive profitability and retention trading performance. This role is critical in achieving and maintaining strategic priorities while navigating a highly competitive market and evolving regulatory landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and execution of consumer pricing strategy and initiatives to drive profitability upwards. Provide oversight to delivery and growth plans, challenging the norm where necessary to ensure excellence. Analyse FCA regulatory pricing changes and liaise with regulatory bodies as required, ensuring compliance and appropriate response to pricing complaints. Utilize actuarial modeling techniques to support risk-based pricing strategies and ensure correct implementation. Develop forecasting models and lead the Product & Pricing Forum, translating outcomes into actionable insights. Manage and develop a team of pricing analysts, providing guidance and support to inform strategic decision-making. Skills/Knowledge/Experience: Extensive pricing experience with expertise in insurance, finance or banking. Experience with predictive/statistical modelling Excellent technical knowledge of pricing and analytical techniques. Highly numerate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with statistical modeling software such as Emblem, R, or Python is advantageous. Strong delivery and leadership experience with exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
