As part of the Outdoor and Cycle Concepts group, **_Cotswold Outdoor _**is joined by **_Runners Need _**and **_Snow + Rock _**to support outdoor enthusiasts by providing excellent customer service and a range of products from world leading brands, all whilst promoting and encouraging sustainability

**How will you make an impact?**
- Managing a small team that acts as the first point of contact for People related queries and overseeing responses from the People Inbox, responding to non-standard queries and redirecting or escalating where appropriate.
- Becoming a trusted partner to the Operations Management Team by maintaining an on-site presence and providing advice on areas such as absence and performance management, contracts, and grievance and disciplinary processes, escalating when required.
- Advising colleagues within Operations on policies, processes, and legislation and signposting them to additional resources.
- Supporting the People Partnering Team with investigations, grievance and disciplinary hearings, including advising managers, notetaking at meetings and letter generation.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of People systems and practices, including leading on workflow reviews and maximising the use of the HR information system within and outside of the team.
- Contributing to People related projects, either working independently on assigned projects or as part of a wider project team.
- Liaising with colleagues in Recruitment, Learning & Development, and Payroll to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new starters and colleagues changing jobs.
- Ensuring all documents are generated accurately in relation to People processes (e.g. probationary periods, contractual changes, maternity/paternity/parental leave, flexible working requests, sickness and performance), in line with guidance from the People Partners.
- Overseeing the management of all employee files, paperwork, and data, ensuring correct storage and GDPR compliance of paper and digital files.
- Maintaining the intranet by keeping all HR documents, policies, guidance, and templates up to date.
- Keeping up to date with current, relevant legislation and best practices and sharing this knowledge amongst the wider team where appropriate.
- Please note this role is 40 hours per week._

**You’ll fit right in if you have**:

- Experience working in Human Resources including using HR information systems.
- Knowledge of employment legislation.
- Understanding of workflow mapping and the importance of working within processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced HR environment, partnering with Managers and colleagues at all levels.
- Strong IT skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- Ability to motivate and manage line reports.
