The security officer role has the perfect balance between security and administrative duties. The aim of the corporate security officer is to manage the front of house reception area, assist the client, staff, visitors, and contractors on site in promoting and maintaining a safe, secure and pleasant environment.

**Salary**: £12.00 per hour (excluding overtime). PAYE ONLY.

**Hours**: Monday - Friday 07:30 - 09:00, Monday - Friday 17:00 - 18:30. Must be able commit to both shifts above. Additional hours, on this and other local developments may be available.

**Location**: Bury, Greater Manchester

**Reporting to**: Operations Manager

**Start date**:Immediate start - following satisfactory interview, background checks and DBS.

**Roles and Responsibilities**

You will be working on duty alone and responsible for providing a first-class reception service, whilst ensuring the safety, security and health and safety of the building, staff, visitors, and contractors.
- Creating a positive first impression for the development through the delivery of exception customer service.
- Ensuring the building is unlocked and locked and completing internal and external patrols at the agreed times.
- General reception duties, including excellent record keeping.
- Communicate effectively through verbal and written records for other professionals.
- To ensure factual and accurate recording of information to handover to the on-site teams and to ensure that all recordings of information are stored securely.
- To ensure that information is gathered and collated for monitoring and outcome purposes.
- Dealing, in a professional manner with staff, visitors and contractors and contractors.
- Regular health and safety checks internally and externally and testing on-site fire and security systems on a weekly basis.
- Working in accordance with assignment instructions, site specific procedures and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Undertake training and professional development, as necessary to be able to fulfil the role.
- Representing StrongGuard Security UK, the client and other support agencies to their values during your duties.

**Applicants must have / be**
- A valid SIA (Door Supervision or Security) licence with previous front of house experience.
- A valid first aid certificate.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, verbal, written and listening.
- Able to communicate clearly and at all levels and with people whose first language is not English.
- Flexible and reliable with an excellent attendance and punctuality record.
- Smart and approachable (must be willing to wear a suit and tie).
- A team player with a positive, solution focused approach.
- Be able to maintain professionalism, at all times.
- Enthusiastic and must enjoy working with people.
- The applicant would ideally have access to a vehicle, due to shift times.
