**Location**: Arbroath

**Attendance Pattern**:Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (flexibility required);

**Job Overview**:
The purpose of the role is to support Site Trainer in delivery of site training programme, including supporting new starters and employees in new roles, delivery of any required on the job training and support with tool box talks, SOPs and site policies and procedures. **This is a hands-on role requiring to perform production duties while supporting building of skills and capabilities within the allocated department**.

**Main Responsibilities**:
Act as a main point of contact for new employees

Responsible for showing new employees around their department and providing them with on-the-job training as applicable

Responsible for ensuring that all production operatives reach and maintain the skill level required to meet and exceed quality standards

Identify skill gaps within area and input corrective actions

Assist in the creation of individual Training and Personal Development Plans for production operatives within department

Liaise effectively with the Department Manager, Supervisors and Site Trainer to monitor the ongoing skill level and progress of employees

Pay attention to upcoming training opportunities and recommend people for additional training opportunities e.g., SVQs, HACCP, First Aid etc.

**Undertake everyday Production Operative duties when not performing the above**

Excellent communication with the ability to pass on your knowledge

Ability to build strong working relations and able to influence positive behaviours

Inquisitive nature

Good understanding of relevant processes within the department and working knowledge of processing machinery

Good understanding of food safety and H&S within your area

Good IT skills
