**Job Title**: Hygiene Trainer

**Reporting to**: Hygiene Supervisor

**Shift Pattern**: Monday - Friday 20:30pm - 05:00am, 40 hrs per week with flexibility required

**Pay**: Pay rate and benefits to be negotiable depending on entry-level skills and/or experience

**Job Overview**:
The purpose of the role is to support Hygiene Supervisor in delivery of site training programme across Hygiene Team. This includes supporting new starters in their new roles, ensuring they are capable & competent in cleaning within the various departments of our Food Factory, while continuously maintaining set hygiene standards and in line with Health & Safety regulations, customer requirements and company's policies.

You will be responsible for delivery of any required on the job training and support with tool box talks, SOPs and site policies and procedures.

**Main Responsibilities**:
Act as a main point of contact for new employees within the hygiene team

Responsible for showing new employees around departments and providing them with on-the-job training as applicable.

Responsible for ensuring that all Hygiene Operatives reach and maintain the skill level required to meet and exceed quality standards.

Identify skill gaps within area and input corrective actions.

Assist in the creation of individual Training and Personal Development Plans for Hygiene Operatives within department.

Liaise effectively with the Managers, Site Trainer and other stakeholders to monitor the ongoing skill level and progress of employees.

Ensure all Hygiene staff are trained and competent in all procedures relevant to their role.

To cover for Hygiene Team Leader when required

**Undertake everyday Hygiene Operatives duties when not performing the above, this includes**:
Carrying out scheduled daily cleaning tasks

Cleaning, dismantling and building of processing equipment and production lines to meet required standards, measured through testing of samples

Cleaning of processing equipment and production lines to meet required standards, measured through testing of samples

Deep cleaning of production areas

Post cleaning checks

Working to cleaning procedures set down by the company

Using chemicals safely and effectively

Adhering to safe working practices is at all times

Excellent communication skills with the ability to pass on your knowledge

Interpersonal skills

IT Skills

Understanding of Good Manufacturing Standards (GMP)

Proven Knowledge of COSHH, Cleaning Chemicals, Safety Legislation

Attention to detail

Excellent attendance and timekeeping

Ability to understand and relay Food Legislation to Hygiene Team

Competent in cleaning all equipment

H&S Awareness

Be willing to undertake Train The Trainer Training
