Podiatry Clinical Team Leader

We have a vacancy for an experienced, enthusiastic Podiatrist to work as Band 7 Clinical Team Leader within our progressive Podiatry team on the Fylde Coast.
This is an exciting opportunity to support providing seamless delivery of care from the community to the acute setting. It is a community based post, with staff and clinics based all across the Fylde Coast.
You will provide leadership, support and mentorship to the community Podiatry team and be a driving force for all future service developments within the team.
The post holder will be responsible for managing the deployment and supervision of the Podiatry team across the Fylde Coast.
Responsibility for the leadership and management of the day-to-day delivery of services including managing issues relating to HR, performance management and compliance with Trust Policies and standards.
Working under the direction of the MSK and Podiatry Service Manager and with colleagues and key stakeholders to ensure the delivery of a co-ordinated multi-disciplinary and multi-agency service. This includes planning, delivering, evaluation and development of the services for which they are responsible.
Monitoring and analysing performance data against agreed targets for the team.
Managing a defined clinical caseload, occasionally covering other clinicians according to the needs of the service.

You will be supported in your role with a weekly Job Plan including protected Supporting Professional Activities time to help you develop further

- Manage, care and deliver care for a caseload of Podiatry patients.
- Work in partnership with individuals, families and carers, using a range of assessment methods as appropriate history-taking; holistic assessment; identifying risk factors; mental health assessments; requesting, undertaking and/or interpreting diagnostic tests; and conducting health needs assessments.
- Actively engage in peer review to inform own and other’s practice, formulating and implementing strategies to act on learning and make improvements.
- Act on professional judgement about when to seek help, demonstrating critical reflection on own practice, self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and openness to change.
- Demonstrate team leadership, resilience and determination, managing situations that are unfamiliar, complex or unpredictable and seeking to build confidence in others.
- Continually develop practice in response to changing population health need, engaging in horizon scanning for future developments (e.g. impacts of genomics, new treatments and changing social challenges).
- Critically engage in research activity, adhering to good research practice guidance, so that evidence based strategies are developed and applied to enhance quality, safety, productivity and value for money.
- Compile reports relating to clinical outcomes
