The Trust currently has an opportunity for an HR Business Partner.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role will include being a change agent and champion both innovation and continuous improvement across the organisation. You will lead programmes of work to deliver culture change and project work within the People strategy, supporting our response to the NHS People Promise and NHS People Plan and lead on policy design and implementation within areas of responsibility such delivering a programme of work to improve retention across our workforce enabling us to attract and retain the best people.

Above all, you will be an integral part of the operational team you support, understanding the operational management of life in an acute trust and using your professional knowledge to enhance working practice for the benefit of patients.

Working in partnership with managers, staff side representatives, staff and partners you will drive forward the HR agenda, embed excellent employment practices that align with Trust ‘Vision and Values’ and help ensure the Trust is an employer of choice.

Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is situated on The Wirral peninsula which has a stunning coastline and beautiful countryside surroundings, with great activities for its residents.

We are one of the largest and busiest acute Trusts in the North West of England, comprising of the Wirral’s only Emergency Department. We provide a high quality range of acute care services and employ over 6,000 staff, who serve a population of approximately 400,000 people across Wirral, Ellesmere Port, Neston, North Wales and the wider North West footprint.

We have approximately 855 beds trust-wide and our financial turnover is in excess of £337m.
