Here at our Plymouth site, we manufacture our high quality and high-tech products where we then sterilise and package them to send to another Olympus site in the UK for distribution.

The location of our site is perfect as it’s close to the A38, with a bus stop close by which covers all of our shift times. We are also in an idyllic part of England with the beautiful coast and Dartmoor near by.

**This role is working Monday - Friday, 5.30am - 2pm / 1.30pm - 10pm (alternatiting weekly).**

**About the role...**

The role is responsible for all of production for that shift, ensuring the team work towards the production plan and you proactively identify, raise and where possible correct any issues that may impact Quality, Cost, Safety and Delivery.

Other responsibilities include:

- Working as part of the team, being the lead in raising quality problems, run rates, and completing patrol inspections
- Recording metrics to monitor schedules
- Setting up production equipment
- Holding risk assessments
- Creating and managing departmental budgets
- Identifying continuous improvements
- To effectively People manage any direct reports on any employee relation topics including performance, training, recruitment, formal meetings, engagement and communication

**What you'll need...**
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience of working within Manufacturing at a supervisory level (essential)
- Experience of leading group activities to drive improvement ideas (essential)
- Experience of production costs to include waste, downtime, scrap and re-work (essential)
- Experience of assisting and developing (multi-skilled) people (desirable)
- Training in internal auditing (desirable)
