**Head of Product**

**Plymouth based or hybrid (ideally 1-2 days a week in Plymouth office)**

**£70,000 to £90,000**

Shift is a rapidly growing marketplace disrupting the logistics industry across Europe. Our teams create solutions using technology to solve everyday logistics problems. These solutions create opportunities for drivers, businesses, retailers and consumers to move big and bulky things in a way they haven’t before.

We have an entrepreneurial ethos and focus on investing and developing cutting edge technology. We use algorithms to match van and truck capacity of drivers already on the road to offer consumers and businesses a way to move anything, at any time, on their schedule. For customers and drivers, we create availability, flexibility and efficiency.

**The opportunity as a Head of Product**:
Due to significant existing and future growth, we are expanding at Shift and looking for a visionary and tech orientated Head of Product to join our team at a key stage in our growth journey.

We have a clear mission and ambitious goals and we see the Head of Product role playing a key part in achieving them.

You will lead our product strategy and our growing team to help us define and achieve our roadmaps.

**Responsibilities included as a Head of Product**:

- Lead and empower the product team which will include training, KPI management and recruitment
- Align everyone behind a common goal, ensuring roadmaps are focused on delivering value and within given time frame
- Ensure all Product Managers and brand strategies are aligned and focused on achieving the overall strategy and objectives
- Responsible for benchmarking and analysis of current product competitiveness in the market
- Commercial responsibility and tracking of all products in relation to their performance against set targets within the business plan
- Drive ideas and improvements with senior management and engineering stakeholders. Such as automation, customer journey & satisfaction
- Identify any risks in the Product portfolio
- Prioritise, coordinate and communicate the resolution of live product issues independently
- Drive product life cycle by encouraging an open, collaborative, and creative culture across product and all departments within the business

**Requirements**:
**What you need to bring**:

- Proven experience in a Head or Product or similar role, ideally within a marketplace business
- A keen understanding of prioritisation, negotiation, and decision-making needs in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant experience in an agile delivery framework, strategy and planning
- A methodical and analytical approach, great problem-solving skills and can provide logical answers to complex problems
- Proven ability to cultivate and manage strong partnerships with business stakeholders and IT partners at multiple levels
- Ability to demonstrate strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills to all levels of seniority and disciplines within the organisation
