**Who are Steel?**

We are a recently relaunched, award winning, craft beer brewery and taphouse, based in the amazing Royal William Yard in Plymouth. We have tech focus and an entrepreneurial ethos and we have huge plans for Steel.

The lynchpin for our business is quality. Both the incredible taste experience of the full range of Steel ales as well as the real life experience of visiting the taproom and everything that comes with that.

We have a well defined vision that will see us continue to be known for our award winning ales and also see Steel products available in a range of retail based establishments. With the right backing in place the sky really is the limit.

**The opportunity as a Head Brewer**:
The Head Brewer position is a pivotal role for Steel and carries significant importance and responsibility. You will be the link between Steel’s Executive leadership Team including our backers and the day to day production process.

You will play a vital part in running the brewing operations, whilst having the autonomy to bring ideas, influence business strategy and ultimately deliver superior craft beer.

You will identify and curate the perfect small team with the right levels of passion and expertise to deliver excellence across the business. You will be a self proclaimed perfectionist who obsesses about delighting customers at every single touchpoint with the Steel brand.

**What you need to be successful as our Head Brewer**:

- Brewing capabilities
- you will have previous experience in commercial brewing and can become Steel’s Head Brewer and take responsibility for the end to end brewing process against both quality and commercial goals and aspirations
- A passion for ale and craft beer supported by excellent engagement/communication skills to bring the products to life for customers
- Ability to set and manage budgets and commercial spend in line with wider business goals and objectives
- An established leader of people and able to demonstrate the ability to hire, lead and motivate front of house teams to serve customers both in our taproom and at any outdoor events. You’ll be passionate about creating an ethos and environment where your team love their jobs

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
