**Finance Assistant**

SALARY RANGE:
£30,000 + bonus

**MAIN PURPOSE**:(What is the function of the position?)

To be responsible that all purchasing processing is done with accordance to the Procurement Policy & Accurately recorded both to projects and financially. To ensure stock is accurately recoded and generally assist in the finance department

**KEY ACTIVITIES**:(What gets done)
- To ensure all Purchase Orders are approved in line with the Company Procurement Policy
- To send PO’s to the supplier making sure terms & delivery instructions are correct.
- To coordinate with suppliers/ service providers for timely delivery of goods and services.
- To check all deliveries, uploading delivery tickets to the order on the system and to deal with any discrepancies.
- To check & receipt all Invoices, attach to the Purchase Order on the system & flag as checked & correct on Dext.
- Process the invoices in to Xero from Dext according to the Procurement process
- Credit Card purchases must be entered in detail on Xero
- Ensure all stock is checked in and out correctly & recorded on the correct systems. Assist with the implementation of an improved stock system
- To Ensure all Imports & Exports have the correct paperwork and shipping instructions - keeping up to date with current legislation
- Ensure all Supplier Records are kept up to date on the system
- Assisting the Finance Department
- Closing of Month End in line with the deadlines
- Answering the telephone & assisting the caller
- Assist with keep the Office clean and tidy
- Assisting with month & year end & the annual audit for all companies in the Guncast Group
- Provide holiday cover for the Finance Office for all companies in the Guncast Group
- Assist in implementing the Company H&S procedures in the office
- Adoption of company procedures and processes with line manager
- Any ad-hoc duties as required

**Key qualifications, skills and experience**
- Systems used - ,Xero, Excel, Word, Google sheets,365, E-Max, Simpro and Online Banking
- Relevant academic qualification(s) or experience, ideally CIPS or equivalent
- Working outside the box - seeing answers to problems
- Ability to communicate detailed and accurate information
- Build good working relationships with other parties both internal and external.
- Construction industry experience preferable

**Salary**: £30,000.00 per year
