**Principal Scientist / Lead Biologist, Biotech**

A Principal Scientist / Lead Biologist is urgently required to take the lead on exciting new projects in a rapidly growing company based in Cambridge.

**The Role**

The Principal Scientist / Lead Biologist will be joining a close-knit team and be taking the lead on an exciting project. Having completed much of the research phase, this commercially minded person will come in and lead a team responsible for scaling upunique projects to an industrial and commercial size.

Having to design experiments, design projects as well as lead the multi-disciplinary team, this really is a unique opportunity for a Principal Scientist / Lead Biologist looking to enhance their career.

**What’s Required?**

The Principal Scientist / Lead Biologist’s experience and abilities will include:

- Experience or knowledge with biosynthetic pathways, biological wet lab work, with data analysis methods / tools, and/or fermentation science would be desirable
- Proven experience of process scaling up a process / project from lab to industry
- Experience designing experiments for scale-up optimisation or strain screening, plus experience with strain performance optimisation would be a plus
- Substantial experience in biochemical/chemical engineering
- Strong experience designing projects as well as leading them
