We have an exciting opportunity for a Transaction Assistant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for contributing to all tasks within the AP & AR function including invoice processing, query management, BACs payments, Credit Control and Credit Card Returns.

**Main job responsibilities**:

- Register all supplier invoices received via the DB Capture software in line with the department KPI’s
- Reconcile supplier statements and liaise with external contacts and internal stakeholders to resolve any transactional queries.
- Undertake self-audit procedures to ensure compliance to Financial Standing Orders with relevant policies and procedures, including new supplier and sundry payment validation.
- Ensure proper controls are in place and monitored to ensure integrity of BACs, including the preparation of the weekly payment runs and credit card data.
- Raise sundry debtor & intercompany invoices as/when required and follow up overdue charges for payment, aid in resolving any customer queries relating to these charges.

**We're looking for someone who has**:

- GCSE Level 4 or equivalent in Maths
- Experience of working in an accounting/financial environment
- Experience of purchase ledger & sales ledger
- The ability to use IT software and packages proficiently including Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, Outlook & TEAMS).
- The ability to communicate clearly with internal and external customers
- The ability to build cooperative working relationships with colleagues, demonstrating flexibility and personal respect
