Accounts Assistant

Alexander Daniels are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant on behalf of a rapidly expanding business based in Walsall on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing purchase ledger anddebtors for the business and providing reports and information to management.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Daily management of the online payment systems
- Daily management of costs and investigating variances
- Maintaining income records to be invoiced
- Processing purchase orders and sending to suppliers
- Management of purchase cards, obtaining VAT invoices and checking to purchase orders with appropriate authorisation
- Invoicing in line with procedures to receive payments in a timely manner
- Processing internal recharges and transfers
- Monthly debtor reporting
- Monthly reconciliation of credit card and direct debits
- Ensuring all month-end deadline are met
- Assisting with finance related queries internally and externally
- Ad-hoc cash collection when necessary, and collecting the sufficient documentation for audit
- Assist AP Manager with the implementation and training of new systems
- Entering month end cashbook and journal entries as well as assisting in the financial
year end procedure directed by the Finance Director
This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) based on-site in Walsall. You will be entitled to 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays plus other company benefits including on-site parking. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 08.00 to 16.00 withhalf an hour for lunch.
