Ki is the biggest global insurance tech company you’ve never heard of, unless you’ve been looking to insure a satellite, wind farm or music festival recently.
Having written over $877m in gross written premium in 2023, we’ve achieved significant growth since our beginnings in 2021. Our investors were excited about the fact we were revolutionising the way a 333 year-old industry was working. There are hardly any industries left that are mainly paper based, but the Fin Pro, Casualty & Cyber insurance market is one. Together with partners at Google and UCL we developed Ki and created a platform that helps insurance brokers place risk in a fast and frictionless way. We’re continuing to lead the charge on the digitisation of this market and we need more excellent minds to work with us to realise this goal and create more opportunities.
What you will be working on
How insurance is underwritten here hasn't changed in 300 years - until now. At Ki, we are genuinely solving problems that haven’t been solved with technology in the insurance space. We are building the first fully digital and data-led insurance platform in the London Market. Ki is used by the world’s leading insurance brokers to provide cover for their clients against some of the planet’s biggest risks. We are the first movers in this space. Think challenger bank, but for complex risks like hurricanes and natural disasters.
Having reached c.$1bn of Gross Written Premium in the first three years of trading, and becoming a Top 20 Lloyd’s of London syndicate, Ki is launching a Technology Services function and Transformation Programme to enhance our technological capabilities and streamline processes. The programme will transform Ki’s internal-facing technology services across all business functions, including Actuarial & Risk, Underwriting & Distribution, Finance, HR, Legal, Operations, Claims and IT.
We are seeking a forward-thinking and proven leader with deep architecture and business system expertise as Head of Enterprise Architecture for Ki to lead and manage the Technology Transformation Programme, supporting the Technology Services Director to set up the Technology Services function, but also run the function thereafter.
The role primarily focuses on defining and operating a scalable, secure, cost-effective Technology Services and Application landscape that will enable Ki to meet its business objectives and technology strategy. This includes responsibility for an enterprise architecture and its strategy in line with Ki’s Technology strategies with the appropriate governance framework to ensure that the architecture provides tangible business value while complying with all regulatory and legal requirements.
The Head of Enterprise Architecture will be a member of the Technology Senior Leadership team.
