Maintenance Assistant

The Building Clerk of Works team sits within the Directorate of Estates and Facilities, the team play a critical part in Estates and Facilities operations providing all building fabric services to ensure we service all reactive, planned, and statutory compliant maintenance across all our campuses and outlying areas.

Estates and Facilities are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the buildings vibrant and dynamic clerk of works DLO team to be based at our Hillhead Student Village.

We are currently looking for an individual who is self-motivated and proactive individuals with and ethos for teamwork.

Applications for this post are invited from persons with appropriate building maintenance experience, preferably within a maintenance environment. They will be required to work independently, with minimum supervision to a high degree of skill and professionalism. They will also be required to undertake other maintenance tasks conducive to a residential environment. Whilst working, often independently there will a requirement to interact with the many student residents therefore should be equipped with good communication and customer service skills.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 3, £22,197 - £24,715 per annum, with placement according to qualifications and experience.
