**POSITION OVERVIEW**:
The CQC (Care Quality Commission) Consultant will play a key role in providing consultancy services to healthcare organisations to ensure compliance with CQC regulations and standards. The consultant will work closely with clients to assess current practices, identify areas for improvement, and develop tailored strategies to enhance quality of care and regulatory compliance. This role requires a deep understanding of CQC regulations, excellent communication and analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of healthcare organisations' compliance with CQC regulations and standards, including on-site inspections and audits.
2. Analyse data, documentation, and feedback to identify areas of non-compliance or improvement opportunities.
3. Develop and implement customised action plans and strategies to address identified deficiencies and improve overall quality of care.
4. Lead the process of CQC registration for healthcare organisations, ensuring all necessary documentation, policies, and procedures are in place and compliant with regulatory requirements.
5. Provide expert guidance and support to healthcare organisations in preparing for CQC inspections, including mock inspections and readiness assessments.
6. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, clinical staff, and regulatory bodies, to drive continuous improvement in quality and compliance.
7. Stay abreast of changes in CQC regulations, policies, and procedures, and ensure that clients are informed and prepared to meet new requirements.
8. Prepare detailed reports and documentation summarising findings, recommendations, and progress towards achieving compliance goals.
9. Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing ongoing support and guidance on quality and compliance matters related to CQC registration.
10. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote our services and expertise in CQC compliance.
**QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare management, nursing, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in healthcare quality management, regulatory compliance, or a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations, standards, and inspection processes.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends and patterns.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
- Proven ability to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives and drive organizational change.
- Certification in quality management or healthcare compliance (e.g., CPHQ, CHC, CHPC) preferred.
- Ability to travel to client sites as needed.
