**Job Title**:Volunteer and Member coordinator

**Location**: Winchester Go LD office at The Arc, Winchester, SO23 8SB

**Hours**: 23 - 35 hours/week

**Line Manager**:CEO of Winchester Go LD

**Purpose of Post**:
Our volunteer and member coordinator plays a key role in our mission to enable adults with learning disabilities to live life to the full with the choices and independence that they want. You will lead our team of volunteers; this includes recruitment, training and coordinating volunteer activities. You will also have a key role in member activities; this includes welcoming new members and leading regular member activities.

**Key Contribution Areas**:
**Volunteer Coordination**
- Coordinate Winchester Go LD volunteers with volunteering opportunities, including supervision, objective setting, training, recognition and development.
- Review and update the volunteer policies (with CEO and Trustee Policy subcommittee) and produce a volunteer handbook.
- Develop a volunteer program that addresses the needs the of different groups of volunteers at Winchester

Go LD (e.g., college students, undergraduate students, professional and retired volunteers).
- Update the content on Winchester Go LD’s volunteer section on the website.
- Coordinate the recruitment process of volunteers including maintaining an up-to-date volunteer DBS check register. Update Winchester Go LD’s register of volunteer availability and of current and exited volunteers.
- Set up regular meetings with volunteers to gain their feedback and suggestions.
- To support fundraising by working with volunteers through increasing the Winchester Go LD’s profile in community and corporate fundraising.
- Support staff and volunteers in project and charity event planning. Ensure that appropriate Risk

Assessments on all activities, events and outings are carried out.

**Member Coordination**
- To lead the delivery of regular activities for Winchester Go LD members to enable them to live with the highest degree of independence.

Winchester Go LD.
- To work in a collegiate manner with other Winchester Go LD staff and volunteers to develop and deliver the Winchester Go LD programme.
- To keep timely and comprehensive records and monitor the impact and outcomes for Winchester Go LD

Members.
- Other such tasks as required by the organisation to achieve best possible outcomes for Winchester Go LD

Members.
