**Working Hours**:Zero hours contract. Dates will be 02nd May to 17th June between the hours of 08:30 - 18:00.

**Salary**:£13.97 per hour, including holiday pay

**HOW TO APPLY**

**JOB DESCRIPTION**
- To be up to date with the latest version of the publication JCQ Instructions for conducting exams to comply with regulations.
- Assisting with the set up the exam room. Helping as required to carry exam papers, boxes, laptops, and organising photocopying of modified papers.
- To ensure exam paperwork is never left unattended.
- To complete the board(s) at the front of the exam room to ensure that centre number, exam reference number, start and finish times are accurate and visible.
- To complete the register and ensure there are records for all absences.
- To attend training sessions at the School, including the all staff mandatory annual safeguarding training in September.
- To assist the Exams Officer where required.
- To remain vigilant but unobtrusive during the examinations
- To supervise an orderly entry and exit of all exams.

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Moderate IT and administrative skills.

Ability to work as part of a team and on your own.

A respect for the external exam process and a willingness to adhere to set rules and restrictions as detailed by an examining body.

An ability to deal with sensitive situations and maintain confidentiality.

Excellent organisational skills.

Ability to stay calm, work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

An appreciation of school life and working with young people.

Experience of leading a team.

Ability to take the lead, including delivering instructions to both other invigilators and a room full of students.

The post holder’s responsibility will include promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons for whom s/he is responsible, or with whom s/ he comes into contact. The post holder will be required to adhere to and ensure compliance with the School’s Child Protection Policy at all times. If, in the course of carrying out the duties of the post, the post holder becomes aware of any actual or potential risks to the safety or welfare of children in the School, s/he must report any concerns to the School’s Designated Safeguarding Lead.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. The School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions on a self
- declaration form in advance of attending an interview (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
