Technical Team Leader

**The Recruitment Crowd have partnered with a market leading client based in Knottingley. We are looking for an experienced Technical Team Leader.**
**Hours**: 48 hours+
**Salary**:Up to £50,000 per annum
**Location**:Knottingley, WF11
**Job Type**: Permanent
**Responsibilities**:
- Supervise and efficiently manage labour, machinery, and materials for production operations.
- Work a 48-hour basic hourly contract on a rotational 3-shift pattern (8-hour days, afternoons, nights), with possible changes based on operational demand. Weekend work and overtime required as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company Health & Safety Policy for all management and operational activities.
- Coordinate with other Team Leaders for smooth management and operation.
- Assess and participate in repairing plant breakdowns (electrical and mechanical).
- Supervise and participate in routine maintenance and suggest corrective actions with the Works Engineer.
- Manage production operation and maintenance to meet productivity targets.
- Oversee production personnel, including scheduling weekly manning levels and overtime.
- Handle breakdowns and repairs of production equipment, plan preventative maintenance, and schedule remedial work.
- Plan and assess clean down activities, mould changes, cleaning, and repairs.
- Perform risk assessments for all production activities.
- Inspect and control in-line quality, track and report rejects.
- Identify and propose plant improvement projects and actively participate in their execution.
- Assess operating staff for competence and identify training and development needs.
- Provide first aid coverage for the plants.
- Perform additional ad-hoc duties as needed due to changing business requirements and management direction.
- Be open to development training, whether in-house or external.
**Requirements**:
- Have previous management experience, ideally in a similar industry.
- Be flexible as the hours are based on a rotational 3 shift pattern of 8-hour days, afternoons and nights and weekends.
- Be hard-working and reliable.
