**Main description**:
To maintain the manufacturing equipment in a safe, efficient and operational state at all times. To assist where required, in the development and improvement of manufacturing equipment and processes for existing and new products to fully meet all requirements of the departmental business plan.

This is a 4 year apprenticeship resulting in a Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering. The first year will be spent at Midland Group Training Services (MGTS) in Redditch learning core practical and theoretical elements of the role. For the following years, apprentices will attend MGTS on a day release basis to complete the necessary educational requirements for the programme.

Responsibilities and Duties will Include:

- Provide multi-disciplined breakdown support for production equipment, services and all electro/mechanical issues
- Work closely with Production Engineers on improvements, new product introduction and corrective actions with an emphasis on ‘right first time’ solutions
- Implementation of the Planned/Preventative Maintenance System to include breakdowns and any other work carried out on equipment together with Maintenance Stores stock management
- Accurate maintaining of all associated records
