Are you ready for a demanding yet rewarding role where no two days are the same? We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our team in North Acton. This position offers a base salary of £35,000 along with shares in the company, rewarding your commitment and dedication.

Experience Required:

  • Demanding Role: Be prepared for on-call responsibilities as things can break any day of the year.
  • Continuous Learning: Embrace the dynamic nature of the role; you won't always have all the answers, so a willingness to learn 24/7 is essential.
  • Independence & Initiative: Demonstrate strong initiative and independence in problem-solving within a varied mechanical role, including expertise in areas such as motors, water pumps, and more.
  • Exceptional Communication: Possess outstanding communication skills to effectively engage with operators who might lack technical knowledge about the machinery.
  • Background: Ideally, 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role within pharmaceutical, food, or mechanical environments.
  • Clean Environment Expertise: Prior experience in maintaining a clean environment is highly valued, as it is integral to this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair various mechanical systems, including motors, pumps, and other equipment.
  • Perform on-call duties to address unexpected breakdowns or maintenance issues.
  • Collaborate with operators, providing guidance and support regarding machinery.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and protocols.
  • Uphold a clean environment while executing maintenance tasks.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar maintenance engineering role.
  • Proficiency in mechanical systems, motors, pumps, and related equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with non-technical staff.
  • Background in pharmaceutical, food, or mechanical industries is preferred.
  • Adaptability and willingness to continuously learn in a fast-paced environment.
