**About the Service**:
The Solihull Approach is recognised as a parenting programme to support improving parent infant relationships (universal and targeted) and is already established in the borough of Hackney through targeted provision. It is a theoretical model integrating psychodynamic, child development, and learning theory which promotes a sensitive, common language for the delivery of any service to people. It also provides a focus on beginning this process as young as possible, which supports the need for early identification and intervention to enable children and young people to develop into healthy coping adults.

**Base location: Wetherell Nursery, 17 Iveagh Close, Hackney, E9 7BW**

In this role, you will be expected to engage with services across Hackney, therefore travel within the Borough is required as part of the role.

**Working hours**:
Monday to Friday (occasional evening and weekend work may be required to meet the needs of the service)
- Experience of working with young children and their families in a relevant capacity (Training will be provided for the Solihull approach for all team members)
- Experience of leading a team.
- Experience of delivering parenting groups
- Experience of group work delivery
- Experience of developing partnerships
- Strong IT skills
- Strong facilitation skills
- Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
- The willingness to travel across the borough to meet the needs of the service.

**Some of the main responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Line management responsibilities for a small team including staff supervisions.
- Recording and reporting on safeguarding.
- Build and expand on the universal delivery of face-to-face and digital Solihull Approach parenting group courses, with a specific focus on families with children aged 2 yrs. and under.
- Develop positive relationships with partners, parents, carers, and families.
- Accurately record and report on service outcomes.
- Process and review service referrals.
- Coordinate and promote the Solihull Approach Parenting app to parent/carers and to professionals.
- Undertake outreach and promotion to raise awareness of the importance of parent infant relationships and to increase uptake of Solihull Approach group and online courses.
- Contribute to the development and growth of a new service as part of a team.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 14 months

**Salary**: £28,283.00-£37,326.00 per year
