Optical Assistant

Responsibilities:

- Assist optometrists and opticians in providing eye care services to patients
- Perform preliminary tests before patients have their eye examination performed
- Assist with contact lens fittings and teach patients how to insert, remove, and care for contact lenses
- Educate patients on proper eyewear selection and maintenance
- Perform basic administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
- Clean and maintain optical instruments and equipment

**Requirements**:

- Familiarity with equipment used in optometry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients of all ages
- Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately record patient information
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism
- Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping

**Salary**: £20,448.00-£24,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 15 - 37.5 per week
