A permanent, full-time Purchase Ledger Administrator role, based in Manchester City Centre offering up to £21,500.

**Client Details**

Our client is a Not for Profit organisation based in Manchester City Centre who has been in operation for almost 40 years. They offer a supportive and inclusive working environment as well as personal and professional development opportunities.

**Description**

The key responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to;
- Enter invoices onto finance software daily, ensuring that they are authorised and accurately coded, and post invoice batches onto Navision
- Prepare and process weekly/monthly BACS payments to suppliers and post to Navision
- Process Direct Debit and PayPal payments daily
- Update suppliers on our Navision finance software in line with requirements of the purchasing procedures
- Deal with queries from other departments on status of outstanding supplier payments
- Resolve any supplier queries promptly and efficiently, liaising with appropriate colleagues and Budget Holders over any difficulties
- Reconcile suppliers' statements to purchase ledger balances and liaising with budget holders and suppliers to sort any queries;
- Responsible for preparing Sales invoices at the request and ensuring the correct VAT treatment
- Post income to Sales Ledger customer accounts on Navision
- Upkeep of customer records on Navision, ensuring that new customers meet the requirements of the Finance Procedures - Cash Management
- Liaise with income generation and trading teams to ensure that credit control is maintained and outstanding invoices are followed up and paid.

**Profile**
- Experience of purchase ledger management
- Experience of sales ledger management and credit control
- Displaying good attention to detail and a high level of numeracy and accuracy, with advanced Excel skills
- Deadline-driven, with good time management skills and the ability to deal with a high-volume workload
- Flexible, with the ability to learn/cover other roles and learn new skills
- Able to demonstrate good knowledge and understanding of appropriate legislation (e.g. VAT, employment taxes)
- Willingness to keep up-to-date with changes in legislation
