They are looking to recruit a Payroll Manager to join them on a fixed term contract for 6 months.

Paying between £54,949 - £61,823 dependent on experience. This role is working a 37 hour week which can be carried out from home with travel to the office in Milton Keynes expected as and when required.

**Main Duties**:

- Overseeing four UK payrolls
- Management of the Staff Payments Office
- Lead, motivate and develop the team while monitoring performance
- Provide support to Senior Management
- Work alongside Payroll Stabilisation Lead and systems programme team to develop efficiencies
- Define solutions and the implementation of the change programme deliverables
- Developing required process documentation and training material for the team, providing updates as required
- Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of all payroll transactions
- Managing the Concur expense system
- Project Management involvement as a contributor and also as a leader

**Skills and experience**
- Proven track record of strong leadership in a large payroll function
- Extensive payroll and systems knowledge including Microsoft Office and Excel; SAP an advantage.
- Excellent relationship-building skills coupled with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
- Payroll technical expertise coupled with experience in change management and governance
- Demonstrated analytical and data-informed decision-making
- Ability to evaluate the business impact of issues and prioritise various requests
- Ability to work in a fast-changing and fast-paced working environment and collaborate with multiple teams
- Be able to demonstrate a Growth Mindset and successfully leading change
- Experience of working in higher education sector would be an advantage or other complex organisations
