Technical Manager -WS Auditor

Location: Darlington

**Salary**: £44,086.08 / car allowance

Contract: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK’s foremost vehicle rental specialists, playing a central role in the technical support provided to our Workshop Operations in the North of England and Ireland.

This is very much a 'hands-on’ role, and we will be looking to you to aid in technical investigations of all kinds, build relationships with manufacturers, whilst also providing support to our audit and compliance teams.

Reporting to our UK Head of Workshop Operations, you will provide advice and support on current workshop tooling/equipment, including diagnostic tools, and seek future opportunities/technologies that may aid the Workshop Operations function.

You will work closely with Operations, Audit and Compliance, Technical Training, Asset & Procurement and Health & Safety teams to ensure all business dependencies are considered and supported from a technical standpoint. You draw on your market insight, guide our strategic decisions, and shape how our business works.

About you:
You are a Level 3 Technician qualification, with significant post-qualification experience coupled with in-depth industry knowledge and awareness
Preferably, you will also have a Level 3 or Level 4 EV Technician qualification
You have experience in managing multi-site workshop operations
Strong technical knowledge of diagnostic tooling, workshop tooling and workshop equipment.
Alongside your technical skills, you will be experienced in leading, coaching and motivating a successful team with the ability to translate strategic requirements into day-to-day actions.
You build your success on managing continual change and improvement.
