SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a motivated Teaching Assistant to work at one of our local Thetford specialist schools.

8:30 - 3:30 - Full-time

The school, located close to Thetford provides education for young students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) barriers to learning.

They are looking to appoint a calm, patient person who is clearly passionate and interested in helping young people with additional needs.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be in a mainly classroom-based role, supporting students with lessons and activities. This involves encouraging students to actively engage in their learning, assisting with behaviour management, and motivating studentsto achieve their best.

The school involves a range of activities in it's curriculum which involves learning in a flexible and adaptable way that can make this role not only fun, but rewarding

Have experience in education or a related area (youth volunteering, health and social care, childcare/EYFS, psychology, counselling, etc)

Be confident working 1-1 and in small groups with students

Have good communication and interpersonal skills

Be flexible and proactive

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
